About

I've been where you are.
That's the whole point.

Personal trainer, online coach, and the hardest client I've ever had — myself.

I didn't grow up athletic

Most personal trainers have always been fit. I haven't. I didn't feel confident in my body, and I didn't have the mindset or the belief that I could change. I had to build myself.

At first, it was physical. I lost seven stone — slowly, honestly, without shortcuts. But the real change wasn't the weight. It was the discipline, the patience, and the commitment to myself. I know what it's like to feel out of place in a gym, to start a diet on Monday and quit by Friday. I'm not guessing at what you're going through — I've lived it.

Then I pushed further

I trained, learned, refined, and rebuilt my identity through effort. I stepped on stage as a bodybuilder — not to impress anyone, but to prove to myself that I could become someone I once didn't believe I could be. Along the way I studied nutrition, behaviour change, and coaching, earning my Precision Nutrition certification, and started helping others through the same internal work I'd done myself.

Then life shifted. My mum was diagnosed with MND, and everything I thought I knew about strength changed. I used everything I had learned from my own journey to help her stay mobile, supported, and connected to herself. It was the hardest chapter of my life — and the most meaningful.

Strength is not about how you look. Strength is about who you become — your mindset, your self-belief, your habits, your ability to keep going when life hits harder than expected.

That's where Fitt-On came from. Not a gym brand. Not a fitness trend. A process I lived before I ever coached it.

Twelve years of coaching. One philosophy.

I've now been a personal trainer and online coach for over 12 years, working with more than 400 clients — in person across Southport and online around the world. My approach is 360 coaching: body, mindset and lifestyle together. The training plan is the easy bit; anyone can hand you a workout. The real work is building the habits, belief and consistency that make results stick when life gets busy.

BUILD a meaningful goal and a rock-solid foundation of strength, movement and nutrition. BELIEVE in your ability to achieve it, through weekly accountability and honest coaching. BECOME the person you know you can be — not surface-level fitness, identity-level change.

Still walking the walk

I train as a hybrid athlete — strength work combined with running — and I'm currently preparing for the Great North Run. I don't ask clients to do anything I don't do myself: the early sessions, the training around family life, the discipline on the days motivation doesn't show up. I live this in the real world, where time is short and life gets in the way. That's exactly the world I coach for.
